Janet J. Montgomery, CFP^®, CWS^®

Janet is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™  and a Certified Wealth Strategist^® Professional.  She attended the College of Financial Planning located in Denver, Colorado. She is also a Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent, a Registered Representative with First Allied Securities, Inc. and an Investment Advisory Representative with First Allied Advisory Services, Inc.

Janet earned the CWS ^® designation from Cannon Financial Institute. Obtaining this designation provides additional technical knowledge, practice management know - how and the critical client communication skills needed to create and build a wealth advisory practice that works effectively for clients with more complex wealth issues. Her focus is on the following Wealth Management Issues: Investments, Insurance, Liabilities, Gifting to Descendents, Charitable Gifting during Life, Tilting of Assets, Executor/ Trustee, Distribution of Wealth at Death and Charitable Inclinations at Death.

Janet offers workshops in businesses, churches, and her own seminar facility, that help people understand the financial planning process and make better financial decisions.

 Background

In 1979, she began a successful career in the financial services industry, initially working with her father, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^™ professional in Georgia. 

In 1984, she and her husband started an Engineering Firm.  Janet has been instrumental in the tax planning, insurance and employee benefit acquisition, as well as, the retirement plans that the company has used as it has grown, she continues her involvement and sits on the board as a director. In 2003, she returned to practicing personal and business financial planning for the general public.
